ANTHURIUM CRYSTALINUM
The Anthuriums are among our favorite plants. The red blooming types used in flower arrangements are always popular (Anthurium andreanum and Anthurium scherzerianum). But the Fancy Foliage types are always worth many comments from visitors who see them growing here. Several good photos are in A.B. Graf's Tropica and some pretty astounding photos are shown in the Gardening in india book that we offer. The Anthurium crystalinum is one of the most popular of the silver veined anthuriums we offer. Close to it is a dwarfer plant called Anthurium Crystal Hope. This latter plant has even more distinct silver veins. Perhaps the best of the foliage Anthuriums is the one named A. warocqueanum--sometimes know as the "Queen Anthurium." It coloration is the same as the plant pictured, but the leaves can become three feet long and are quite narrow. Another Anthurium we offer is the "King Anthurium"--Anthurium veitscheii. This latter plant has a puckered and quilted leaf texture.
