CAMELLIA JAPONICA HYBRIDS

The Camellia is a great plant for the cool location in the house and outside in the south. It is very cold hardy. Best to use it as a patio plant in the north and leave it outside till threat of frost. The cool fall nights do help bring it into bloom. There are lots of color variations from red to pink to white with intermediate shades in between as well as the "variegated" flower forms with several colors in one flower. The most beautiful of the latter type is the pink and white. These will eventually become large bushy plants that may be with you the rest of your life.
