51770 COLEUS HYBRIDUS MANGO MISCHIEF FF03 LAB TGH HP $ 6.00 A 'Christmas Candy' offspring with the branching habit, brash stature, and easy vigor of its mom, but with rich mango to unripened apricot leaves slashed with deep burgundy, even saturated pink to the crennate edge. Frieling's sunset toned 'Christmas Candy' hybrid.

55637 COLEUS HYBRIDUS MAX LEVERING LAB GH $ 4.00 Brilliant golden green leaves with bloody maroon blotches and random scratchy splashes--a basic because of its vigor and ability to meld the diverse colors of companion show-offs.

53177 COLEUS HYBRIDUS METALICA LAB TGH $ 5.25 A nearly "Metal Coleus" with polished pebbly surface deep John Deere green and dramatic jagged eggplant purple edged leaves angled at a battle station position this makes for one of the most unique offspring of Lohman's 'Krispy Kritter.'

66948 COLEUS HYBRIDUS MISSISSIPI SUMMER (TOBASCO) LAB TGH HP $ 3.75 Impressive rumpled sabre lvs glow with red-pinks & cranberry rose with dramatic raised central flames of dark blood livid purples & maroons. Not for the faint of heart. Best tall red for bedding in midwest. Even though the spelling is different, the "Tobosco" people wanted us to change the name. We are thus giving preference to its alternate name. Please note that this is the same plant which we have sold for years.

58331 COLEUS HYBRIDUS MISS POPULARITY LAB TGH $ 5.75 Very delicate in appearance, yet of true grit: Slim maroon stems present flounces of crennate ochre leaves brightly splashed with carmine and burgundy. Self heading small featured winner hybridized by Frieling.

54588 COLEUS HYBRIDUS MOON GLOW LAB TGH HP $ 5.00 Remarkable sport of 'Christmas Candy' selected by the ever sharp-eyed Downers with giant golden lime dappled lvs with dramatic magenta margins and rich rose underleaf. Sports to 'Aurora' from time to time. Certainly the boldest of the straw yellow group.Intolerant of chill.

42332 COLEUS HYBRIDUS MR. WONDERFUL LAB TGH $ 4.00 Brilliant red netting overwhelms green background; solid red center; tall-statured for training. Not recommended for areas with coolish nights.

61696 COLEUS HYBRIDUS MURDER SUSPECT LAB HP TGH $ 4.25 This "Blood Spattered Coleus" develops a wide spreading habit perfectly displaying the flat milky ochre leaves with their distinct splatterings of dried blood red. Quite impressive bedding of container subject from Frieling.

55630 COLEUS HYBRIDUS NIGHT SKIES [STARRY NIGHT] LAB GH $ 3.50 Dark purpled lvs with umber tones strewn with lemon gold starry dots. Low statured, small featured enough for small containers. Also popular as a winter greenhouse foliage star.

56703 COLEUS HYBRIDUS NOONDAY MOON LAB TGH $ 7.25 Giant furled and ruffled violet backed lvs with an amazing "Hippo Hide" surface of roiled chocolate pink clay tones. An unsolicited reaction: "Ain't none too normal lookin" . . . Due to the extreme foliage, we recommend that you grow this Ken Frieling hybrid in a greenhouse or conservatory in very bright light. Thanks to Durrell Nelson for backup on this when our stock seemed threatened. Collectors will not tolerate any separation from this overwrought prima donna.

23746 COLEUS HYBRIDUS NORMA JEAN LAB TGH $ 7.75 Wide lime speckled leaves turn a complicated lilac pink with a distinct coppery flow in full sun--definitely smolders, and does perform well outdoors, although can be difficult as is its pollen parent, 'Noonday Moon.'

51784 COLEUS HYBRIDUS NUANCE LAB TGH HP $ 4.50 A quiet glow amoung your plants; delicate mauves, frosting of antique gold, parsley green, and rosy hued ruffled and fluted leaves (with medallion centers) closely packed on tumbling pink blushed stems. Subtle colors; vigorous habit.

57445 COLEUS HYBRIDUS OCTOBER WEDDING LAB HP TGH $ 4.00 Impressive massive breathtaker with giant raspberry chocolate colored lvs slashed with vibrant deep olive. Holly Aquino's first named hybrid has become a basic for large containers & border backdrops.

66929 COLEUS HYBRIDUS OLYMPIC TORCH LAB CGH $ 4.00 Widely self branching to form a flame of small saber leaflets-- each with red, mahogany & copper designs framed by scalloped mint green edges: all the colors of fall

66987 COLEUS HYBRIDUS OOMPAH LAB TGH $ 4.00 Tall statured, but much branched with tiny leaves of citron green with purpled centers highlighted with violet flames an bleached rye petioles. Always popular as a small pillar.

66733 COLEUS HYBRIDUS OTHELLO LAB CGH $ 3.75 Deep purple black lvs richly fluted, ruffled and waffled; tightly stacked on stout eggplant toned upright stems which self branch to achieve an open pyramidal habit. The most vigorous and most satisfactory of the blackish purple hybrids for outdoor container use, bedding reliability and even good color saturation in the winter greenhouse display. Need black? Think Shakespeare.

51788 COLEUS HYBRIDUS OXBLOOD RED LAB TGH HP $ 4.25 Reddish scarlet leaves with umber blush, olive colored scalloped edges and violet veins echoed by the violet red underleaf. Vigorous fast growing hybrid with a smoldering dusky appearance.

53157 COLEUS HYBRIDUS PAMPER ME LAB TGH $ 6.00 Unusually elongated very flat leaves of rich golden bronze with rich garnish of carmine slashes, violet patches, and sandlewood and amber dapplings. Slow to establish Frieling hybrid, but fabulous once thriving.

42330 COLEUS HYBRIDUS PENNEY [HYB] LAB CGH HP $ 2.50 Unique foliage: triangular lvs with wide scallops are solid pale copper-olive veined magenta from the center; perfect complement to all other colors. A Vern Ogren hybrid making a perfect foil for hotter colors in your collection, as well as self-branching into a low wide pyramid attractive in any urn or windowbox where, if in full sun, the new foliage emerges a very fashionable hue of bleached wheat. Ever so Martha.

59413 COLEUS HYBRIDUS PERMANENT WAVE LAB TGH $ 6.50 Total showoff: heavily ruffled wasabi green leaves distinctly elongated, with a dramatic violet flame snaking out ot a cocoa purple chevron tipped with deeply scalloped olive green edges. Recent Frieling hybrid bred for standards, unfortunately a bit sensitiive to chill.

51744 COLEUS HYBRIDUS PERILLA MAGILLA LAB TGH $ 4.25 Marketed as a Perilla -- but seems a Coleus with great heat tolerance: square purple stems' color bleeds into veins with white flames roughed pink and lavender chevrons on a base of rugose John Deere Green blushed cocco purple. Eye catching.

51724 COLEUS HYBRIDUS PETER WONDER [HYB] LAB CGH HP $ 5.25 Unique and beautiful hicolor plant--a pink and cream version of 'Stunnng' from Jaldety Nursery with a dazzling frothy look. Looks far to delicate to be the easy reliable outdoor performer it is.

23771 COLEUS HYBRIDUS PILLAGE LAB HP TGH $ 6.00 Wide wasabi green leaves with rich cocoa carmine central band (darkening to violet and purple in full sun) nicely highlighting the central bright pink heart, all with pale wheat toned veins: traditional colors with a twist; large.

55599 COLEUS HYBRIDUS PINEAPPLE PRINCE LAB TGH HP $ 3.25 Frieling hybrid with large metalic bronzy gold leaves with faint magenta veins which echo the rose magenta underleaf; strong statured for topiary. Seems to have become the standard choice of designers needing a reliable strong splash of golden ochre with a buttery saturation in full sun.

41092 COLEUS HYBRIDUS PINEAPPLE QUEEN [HYB] LAB CGH HP $ 4.25 Traditional cultivar for standards: heavily textured lime- gold lvs with deep maroon petioles; seldom blooms. Easy.

66835 COLEUS HYBRIDUS PINEAPPLETTE LAB ]GH HP $ 5.50 Giant deeply fingered golden yellow foliage with maroon edges & carmine speckling; fuchsia hued stems. This impressive hybrid also holds its own well in winter conservatory displays--giving that hard to achieve combination of bold yet delicate quality.

66911 COLEUS HYBRIDUS PINK HALO LAB TGH $ 6.00 Strong upright habit boldly presents the rumpled olive toned leaves with ornate purple veins and a bright pink central embossed area. Quite a looker while using the very most traditional Coleus colors--very impressive as a standard.
66957 COLEUS HYBRIDUS PISTACHIO NIGHTMARE LAB TGH $ 5.25 Modest sized crennulate lvs of three very distinct equal bands: Unnerving bright lilac centers, then a parchment white chevron shaped band, finally framed by a pale pistachio green border. This Frieling hybrid has become quite popular with the mass merchandizers, resultingly appearing in the big block stores.

55954 COLEUS HYBRIDUS PLUM FROST LAB TGH HP $ 4.00 Downer's sport of 'Purple Emperor' adds a rich nile green to the center of each elaborately crested black purple leaf-- will morph to purple olive center colors during intense heat. Much easier to grow than the old rigidly upright (and typcially seldom branching) 'Purple Emperor.' Always among the top ten most reordered every year.

58333 COLEUS HYBRIDUS PRIVATE DANCER LAB TGH $ 5.50 Wide golden leaves with lime highlights strewn with maroon sprinkles, carmine splashes, and violet slashes. Big boned recent Frieling hybrid yet to be trialed by northern growers.

41096 COLEUS HYBRIDUS PURPLE DUCKFOOT [SPECIES?] LAB CGH HP $ 4.00 Compact dwarf globes of tiny purple short-lobed web-foot leaves tightly overlapping on self-heading stems; non-blooming mini excellent for light gardening or outdoor bedding edger. Called "Mars Coleus" on East Coast, this is a perfect addition to any urn, windowbox, or patio container (some customers spot it among their Hosta beds to great effect); moreover, an excellent winter performer in the hobby greenhouse or sunny indoor windowsill.

41093 COLEUS HYBRIDUS PURPLE EMPEROR [HYB] LAB CGH HP $ 5.50 Highly fluted, crested solid black-purple foliage. This is the traditional classic for black foliaged standards because very seldom branches at all. For wide branching foliage of this color, see 'Othello' and 'Dark Star' which do not require staking; a more vigorous sport is 'Plum Frost,' offered above. But for you purists out there, this is the original, and it is grand.

53183 COLEUS HYBRIDUS RED ABUZZ LAB HP TGH $ 4.75 Sultry coppery overlay on mustard green leaves with dusky red featherings designed with dark cassis toned highlights, all garnished by a central sangria red flame. Must have full sun to develop these sultry tones.

55634 COLEUS HYBRIDUS RED COAT LAB GH $ 2.50 Crimson red leaves bordered with bright yellow ochre. Most dramatic contrast in any border. More cranberry red (in full sun) than 'Defiance,' which we no longer propagate (for tends to split as ages); 'Red Coat' one of the basics used by many public display gardens for a carpet of carmine.

55693 COLEUS HYBRIDUS RED RUFFLES LAB CGH $ 4.25 Rose red leaves with chablis veins emphatically enhanced by the lime rimmed fluted & lobed margins--heirloom with wide self branching habit. An heirloom variety with delicate appearance, yet a relatively vigorous performer in light or deep shade. We have noted that plants offered at some of the big block garden centers under this name are acutally 'Stunning,' which has similar ruffling but quite different coloring. (Parenthetically, this is a great companion with 'Stunning' as they've similar ruffling and habits.)

56580 COLEUS HYBRIDUS RED SCABER LAB TGH $ 4.25 A very stable, long lived, seldom blooming selection perfect for container designs, or pseudobonsai with woody stems cloaked by small slim dusky red lvs with rich rose flames. Gives a lacy threadleaf texture to plantings--a long lived clone originally shared with us by the Downers, probably a unique seedling from a commercial seed packet which proved disinclined to be merely an annual. Our customers have educated us on this dimunitive looker: it is the easiest Coleus to train into a bizarre mini-bonsai; and, it is one of the most successful in indoor litegardens. Thus, after several year's absence, it has returned to this website offering.

66959 COLEUS HYBRIDUS RED ULRICH LAB TGH $ 3.25 Excellent potential for standards as the striking square maroon stems are fastigate, cloaked with dark cocoa purple & scarlet sienna lvs frilling out from a central violet medallion; edged in true bullfrog green; excellent hight in an urn with very bright, yet feathery fastigate appearance. We do still maintain the old heirloom 'Ulrich' in the collections, but feel that this sport which was selected here in Stewart is a far superior form in color & in vigor. Will perform with panache even in less than perfect conditions.

32507 COLEUS HYBRIDUS RELIGIOUS RADISH LAB TGH $ 4.50 Rich reds overlaid with maroon-chocolates radiating from the center; probably an old heirloom selection as has the colors of 'Crazy Quilt' & is used extensively in Canadian bedding (yes: tolerates the first fall chills rather well). Absolute favorite of many of our customers as the clone we have selected and reselected forms a richly saturated warm colored blanket in the border or container, as it self branches readily to form a low "shrub" of very wide habit. Has become rather infamous from coast to coast for its richly saturated colors.

69047 COLEUS HYBRIDUS RELIGIOUS RUDABAGA LAB TGH $ 5.25 A sport with golden caramel and gatorade green splashes over the more somber red and plum mocha tones of 'Religious Radish'--Ken Frieling has reselected this sport found at GHW over the last several years for a very vigorous and strikingly beautiful wide growing urn subject. If this sports, we'll have to discern yet another vegetable's inner spirtual potential.

55610 COLEUS HYBRIDUS REX LAB CGH $ 4.75 Erect purple stems bear chartreuse leaves fading to lemon tips with bright regular patterned carmine & burgundy central flames; beautiful tones. Original clone from Vern Ogren. While not as vigorous nor as fast growing as most hybrids, this popular heirloom Coleus still charms with its antique colors. Do not order for early delivery because it tends to remain leafless during most of our winters--thus propagation can be much delayed.

49439 COLEUS HYBRIDUS RIFF RAFF LAB TGH $ 6.00 Extremely convoluted spear shaped leaves twist in a golden turmoil to reveal the purple undernetting and lemon gold highlights with a network of pink toned veins.

49475 COLEUS HYBRIDUS RISKY SISSY LAB TGH $ 6.00 Looks very very odd, but of stong constitution. Big boned yellow mustard leaves with random eggplant purple flecks, dashed with lilac spotches. Obviously a Frieling hybrid noted for its elongated dramatic leaves jutting out imperiously from angled, then somewhat weeping stems. .

59408 COLEUS HYBRIDUS ROARING FIRE LAB TGH $ 3.75 Bold and beautiful: deep red foliage emerging with purple blush and carmine highlights with a dramatic chevron of brash ochre--bold, yet the elegantly elongated leaves give this self mounding winner a lacy flamboyant aspect.

51761 COLEUS HYBRIDUS SATANIC EMBERS FF03 LAB TGH $ 4.25 Fabulous. Slim upright eggplant purple stems cloaked with furled fantastic small purplish umber and damask violet leaves highlighted with a burning glow of orange sienna, fading to chili reds and sultry carmine. Frieling's lucky cross of 'Dragon's Claw' x 'Noonday Moon' resulted in what several garden clubs decided must be a summer blooming Poinsettia! Also quite successful as a winter pot plant (if you can give it bright light or a lightgarden spot) and a natural for indoor litegardens as the dimensions are quite compact, the foliage reliably congested in a rumple of hues. Has been very popular with Asian visitors to the gardens.

55604 COLEUS HYBRIDUS SATURN LAB TGH HP $ 3.25 Very bold, very distinctive: The lime-gold center is vividly contrasted with the wide dark red border, then barely echoed by the lime tipped scalloped edge. Good in a basket for the "gold medallion" sections give a stained glass effect; excellent self branching wide habit. Not as vigorous as its various progeny, such as 'Yin & Yang,' 'Sloppy Painter,' etc.

55618 COLEUS HYBRIDUS SCHIZOPHRENIA LAB $ 4.50 Brilliant slashings of violet, carmine, & carmel on strong widely branched shrub which reaches impressive porportions in a very short period of time. Possibly same as 'Spectrum' The four images listed with this entry show the plant at different times of the year, a very changeable cultivar!

51926 COLEUS HYBRIDUS SEDONA LAB TGH $ 4.25 Brassy wide branching charmer; the rusty red foliage gives a orange glow in full sun; remains russett even in shade. Considered a sport of 'Freckles.' Named for the red rock cliffs of Arizona, with their sunset blond hues. Fussy as to site as the foliage is more thin and more easily damaged than most hybrids.

55528 COLEUS HYBRIDUS SHOCKING PINK LAB CGH $ 3.25 The rusty lilacs, dusky limes, & chocolates suddenly turn a bright silk undies pink in full sun quite startling as the older foliage develops unripened pumpkin hues. Best known as 'Texas Parking Lot'; also sold as 'Alabama Sunset' & 'Bellingrath pink"; has become one of the basic bedding plants for sunny borders, as evidenced by its multiple and ever expanding portfolio of names. Not the easiest colors to match with other foliage in the urn arrangement.

23732COLEUS HYBRIDUS SLOPPY PAINTER LAB TGH HP $ 4.00 Wide central golden amber and lime centers outline with a reddish coppery band bleeding into a pumpkin blushed green edge. Much wider and faster growing than 'Saturn' mom.

59418 COLEUS HYBRIDUS SMALLWOOD'S DRIVE LAB TGH $ 4.00 A forest of slim purple stems cloaked with small feathery shell foliage: small arched quilted leaves of bronzy butter speckled with ochre, rose and purple--flounced to accent the cute scalloped edges. Strong; a lower voltaged 'Satanic Embers.'

66979 COLEUS HYBRIDUS SMART ALEC LAB TGH HP $ 5.75 Major presence: erect heavy stalks are ranked with giant smoky purple elongated leaves with tips exactly the green of stewed persimmons. Dramatic Frieling hybrid of 'Brocade' with 'Palisandra.' Makes quite a vertical statement in an urn planting; as well as a dramatic standard subject for the winter greenhouse as well needing a good stake because the foliage is quite heavy.

51756 COLEUS HYBRIDUS SMARTY PANTS LAB TGH $ 3.75 Bright mintgreen ruffled leaves with upturned crested margins flaunting the richly purpled reverse as they are held proudly erect along the rhubarb stained stems--the undies are most definitely always on view. A six foot standard is possible especially as the root ball persists well.

66715 COLEUS HYBRIDUS SOLAR FLARE LAB TGH $ 4.75 Very dimpled lvs of parsley green with rasied central medallion purple flamed & caramel finigreed with white lime and acid ochre crennated margins. Very busy.

51779 COLEUS HYBRIDUS SO OBVIOUS LAB TGH HP $ 6.00 Dour reddish mahogany leaves with striking herringbone (veins) patterns of pink and rose, all framed by crennations tipped bright mint. Seems tolerant of less than perfect environment even on a window sill. Frieling's cross of "Kingwood Rose' x 'Screaming Raspberry.'

51941 COLEUS HYBRIDUS SORCERER LAB HP TGH $ 4.25 Fabulous "Black Coleus" with thickly substanced foliage saturated deepest purple.

53185 COLEUS HYBRIDUS SPARKLE PLENTY LAB HP TGH $ 3.50 Strong upright much branched stems hold a forest of smallish diamond outlined wasabi green leaves slashed with sangria magenta and speckled with pale wheat and mustard; in high light the veins are colored a pale chernoble ash tone. A vigorous easily self-branching upright Frieling hybrid which blends stronger brash colors together in a mixed planting or container assortment.

55705 COLEUS HYBRIDUS SPARKLER LAB CGH $ 2.75 Very deeply cut, highly fluted lvs of olive & gold highlighted with pastel lemon; each elaborately fingered leaf rimmed deep purple when grown in full sun. Always popular as gives a fab very 3-D lacy effect in exposed conditions.

51778 COLEUS HYBRIDUS SPECKLETACTULAR LAB TGH $ 5.50 Spectacularly wide golden ochre leaves speckled carmine and hot pink accented by violet veins. Colors vary considerably in more intense light and heat, becoming dominantly lemon and rose then. Avoid strong or persistent wind exposure.

56542 COLEUS HYBRIDUS SQUIGGY LAB TGH $ 5.00 Short branchlets nervously populated with multitudes of small wriggling ochre and lance leaves closely held; eventually forms a tidy mound appearing to just have experienced combustion. Often yearns to be near 'Lenny.'

66714 COLEUS HYBRIDUS STORMY WEATHER LAB CGH $ 4.00 Heavily branched purple stemmed selection with small frilled scalloped lvs of agressive ochre dappled gold & blood red with deep purple splotches; tends to be tall statured. Similar to 'Solar Storm.'

55696 COLEUS HYBRIDUS STUNNING LAB CGH $ 3.00 Purple stems graced with burgundy, ochre, & red leaves most elaborately frilled, ruffled, & flounced. Best color in sun. Bright pink veins--looks difficult, but actually of easy culture..

49477 COLEUS HYBRIDUS SULTRY LAB TGH $ 5.50 Merely fabulous trimly upcupped reddish mahogany leaves thickly spaced, each accented with a fine basil green tip on every crenation on the leaf margin. The wide habit makes this a natural for bedding schemes.

53182COLEUS HYBRIDUS SUNSTROKE LAB TGH HP $ 7.50 Giant golden leaves dappled straw blond along the veins; cassis blushed stems. A massive presence derived from a Frieling cross of 'Japanese Giant' and 'Amazon.' Not advised for the timid grower or the miniature garden.

66936 COLEUS HYBRIDUS SUPER DUCKFOOT LAB TGH $ 3.50 Deeply lobed & relobed leaves larger than 'Inky Fingers,' with citron green base splotched rose, pistachio, & freckled gold--very vigorous in any setting. And yes, we know, this bears no resemblence to the other mini "duckfoot" types--just a case of Texas marketing gone wild.

58353 COLEUS HYBRIDUS THE FLUME LAB TGH $ 5.00 Self branching dwarf habit with congested slim sabre leaves of burgundy and gold with showy pink centers. Strong growing; excellent container plant, forming a woody base in time. Introduced by Proven Winners.

55527 COLEUS HYBRIDUS THE LINE LAB TGH $ 3.75 A tall elegant pyramidal masterpiece from Doug Ruhren w/ golden ochre elongated flame lvs with only the central vein bright magenta-purple; this is the one Martha Stewart uses in her container planting segment regullarly replayed on T.V. channels.

55536 COLEUS HYBRIDUS THUMBELINA LAB CGH $ 5.50 Very petite: tinsy pea green rounded, puckered lf segments with touches of chocolate purple. Just too too cute . . . most popular with lite gardeners.

43141COLEUS HYBRIDUS TIGER LILY LAB TGH $ 4.00 Bronzy rose leaves with engagingly fingered margins gussied up with extra ruffles and a bright basil edge; excellent self branching hybrid

67000 COLEUS HYBRIDUS TILT A WHIRL LAB TGH $ 3.75 Distinctive furled circular leaves of muted heather to mahogany with zagged lime edges and feathered centers; always a great color contrast to the golden skirted 'Diane's Gold' and (along with 'Killer Klown') the final perfect flouncy companion for 'Flirtin' Skirts'!

55955 COLEUS HYBRIDUS VENUS LAB TGH HP $ 5.00 The gold & royal purple of 'Pineapple Queen' punched up with a lovely pale central flame & a flamboyant eyelashed frilled margin. Repp's mystery from Lake Juroshuska.

66999 COLEUS HYBRIDUS VICTORIAN CARNIVAL LAB TGH $ 3.25 Very beautiful crinkled leaves of pink, taupe, mauve, & palest rosy creme: a pastel version of 'Victorian Ruffles' selected by Doug Lohman. Excellent habit & a needed color

54056 COLEUS HYBRIDUS VICTORIAN RUFFLES LAB HP TGH $ 4.00 Tightly growing small-statured clumping habit makes this a mound of small fluted chocolate-purple lvs rimmed lime and highlighted mauve; from the searches of Doug Lohman. Perhaps a far more glorious, highly colored form of 'Plum Parfait'?

66837 COLEUS HYBRIDUS VICTORIAN YELLOW RUFFLES CODES $ 3.50 Bright basil green fluted lvs margined with a frothy bright blond petticoat. Yet another Lohman creature.

66722 COLEUS HYBRIDUS VIOLET TRICOLOR LAB CGH $ 3.50 Wide leaves of fern green zoned chocolate mauve with a center of bright violet darkening to screaming magenta in full sun. Larger statured than rehneltianus tribe, yet lateral habit will create a cascading spilage of Victorian colors. For the traditionalists amoung you: this has the old heirloom Coleus colors.

32511 COLEUS HYBRIDUS VOLCANO LAB TGH $ 4.50 AVAILABILITY LIMITED Solid clear red with bronzy rust undertones in good light; emboldened by a tiny rim of cypress green; very chill sensitive, so very late propagation and late availability

49478 COLEUS HYBRIDUS WHOOPPEE LAB TGH $ 5.25 Forming a full wide outline without pinching, this Frieling hybrid of 'Red Ruffles' x 'Vagabond' flaunts wide mauve purple leaves with deeply lobed and elegantly arched surface accented with a John Deere margin. Most flounce to the ounce.

55960 COLEUS HYBRIDUS YADA YADA YADA LAB TGH HP $ 4.00 Small tidy leaves of rich mint green with a clear pink central flame chevroned w/ violet eyeliner; widely branching border subject from Dale Huddleson--very vigorous & dependable; due to lateral growth habit, enjoys a great popularity as a windowbox and hanging basket choice. Like 'Penny,' is not a focal point of itself, but brings out the colors of its companions; also an excellent edger in southern borders for tolerates considerable neglect.

66808 COLEUS HYBRIDUS YIN & YANG LAB HP TGH $ 3.75 Chris Baker's quite vigorous echo of 'Saturn' with a large central eggyoke yellow area surrounded by cocoa red, in turn accented with a crennated border of olive--but the whole shebang is strewn with a constellation of yellow dots & comets. Flower show judges love it.

55581 COLEUS REHNELTIANUS TRAILING ROSE LAB CGH HP $ 4.00 Downer's selection of a 'Trailing Queen' sport with very broad central pink & tanned violet zones, with the emerald chocolate edge. Strongest color contrast of this group, but the most difficult to grow outside a greenhouse without adequate humidity and regular waterings.

55656 COLEUS SHIRENSIS LAB CGH HP $ 6.00 Impressive African "Swamp Coleus" with woody stems ranked with slate green pelted hispid elongated leaves and topped with showy panicles of azure-mauve blossoms; shared by Quail Botanic Gardens. Requires moist conditions to gain its girth.
